Using CMSE Video Custom Fields In Articles

Category: Custom Content Fields Blog View

CMSE Custom Fields makes it easy to insert a single video or a playlist within an article by merely inserting the video URL in a text field. The function will automatically grab the video cover image and download for display as the article intro image.

Videos can be inserted from any source which allows embedding, including Youtube, Facebook, CNN, Vevo, Vimeo, PornHub and many more. The video player automatically displays in the article wherever the player shortcode is place in the category's layout setup. The category setup can be overridden by placing a [ videoplayer/] shortcode anywhere in the text editor.

The first video in this playlist demonstrates how simple adding videos with CMSE Custom Fields is.

Only the video URL is required when adding videos to the playlist. The title and thumbnail images will be automatically sourced from the video server. The source's cover images and titles can be overridden by using the title and image fields provided.
